The Abigale blanket chest has been said to capture the whimsy in Louis + Jig’s signature style. The chest rests on dovetail shaped risers, giving space and ease from its foundational frame. The top is made from over twenty-five individual pieces of wood, all joined together, and hand-shaped to a gentle curve. It is here where timelessness meets whimsy. The interior of the chest reveals patterns and layers unexpected. Wood choice and stain variations can enhance the striking effect. The design allows for the contents to breathe, a necessity for those made of natural materials.
